Bio:
Hi! I am a political economist and an Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Houston-Downtown. I am also a Visiting Scholar in Mixed Methods and Qualitative Research for Prosperity Lab at Universidad Francisco Marroquín in Guatemala. I received my PhD in Political Science from the School of Economic, Political, and Policy Sciences at the University of Texas at Dallas.
My research focuses on the political economy of property rights in Latin America. I integrate formal theory and mixed methods to highlight the impact of property rights on political development. I argue that property rights are not only economic, but are also political institutions.
